South Coast Youth Band
Beginners welcome!
South Coast Youth Band is open to 4th, 5th and 6th graders.
The band is directed by Nancy Mathison and Sandy Adams, and staffed by a host of professional musicians.

Goleta Presbyterian Church, 6067 Shirrell Way, Goleta
TUESDAYS:
St. Mark United Methodist Church, 3942 La Colina Road, Santa
Barbara, California
COST: $100 per student. Scholarships available
SCHEDULE: September 18th 2023 - May 18th, 2024

BEGINNERS 3:30-4:30pm. Students may choose to attend any of the following combination of classes each week:

INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED 4:30-5:30pm. Students may choose to attend any of the following combination of classes each week:

BEGINNERS: This class is for the complete beginner who has never played before, or for students who need review. It is split into groups for flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone and snare drum with specialists teaching each section.
INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED: This class is for students who have one or more years of experience playing their instrument.
COVID POLICY:
Vaccinations are strongly preferred due to the nature of this activity and the amount of aerosols projected by wind instruments.
Scholarship: $50. If a student qualifies for the free-lunch program at their school, they are eligible for a scholarship. Please note: we must receive a Food Services confirmation letter to consider a student for financial aid.This letter must be uploaded at the time of registration.

PRINCIPIANTES: Esta clase es para estudiantes que son totalmente principiantes y nunca han tocado un instrumento antes, o para estudiantes que necesitan un repaso. Se divide en grupos para flauta, clarinete, saxo, trompeta, trombón y tambor, con especialistas enseñando en cada sección.
INTERMEDIO y AVANZADO: esta clase es para estudiantes que tienen uno o más años de experiencia tocando su instrumento.
POLÍTICA DE COVID:
Las vacunas son muy preferidas debido a la naturaleza de esta actividad y la cantidad de aerosoles proyectados por los instrumentos de viento.
Beca: $50. Si el/la estudiante califica para el programa de almuerzo gratis en su escuela, entonces es elegible para una beca. Tenga en cuenta: debemos recibir una carta de confirmación de Servicios de Alimentos para considerar a un estudiante para recibir ayuda financiera.
